ABSU Admission List 2026/2027
Abia State University (ABSU), Uturu, has released its admission list for the 2026/2027 academic session, giving candidates who participated in the admission process an opportunity to confirm their admission status. The admission information is being processed through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board’s Central Admissions Processing System, commonly known as JAMB CAPS. Candidates who applied to ABSU should therefore check their JAMB profiles to determine whether the university has offered them provisional admission.
Candidates can check their ABSU admission status by logging into the JAMB e-Facility portal with the details connected to their JAMB profile. After signing in, candidates should select the admission-status option and access JAMB CAPS. They can then open the Admission Status section to see the current decision on their application. JAMB explains that CAPS was created to automate the admission process and allows candidates to check admission decisions and respond to provisional offers.
A candidate whose CAPS page shows Admission Offered has received a provisional admission offer and should follow the instructions to accept the offer. Candidates who see Not Admitted should not necessarily assume that their admission process is permanently over, particularly while the admission exercise is still ongoing. Other statuses may indicate that the application is still being processed. Candidates should continue monitoring their JAMB CAPS profile and official ABSU admission channels for subsequent updates.
Candidates offered admission should take the acceptance stage seriously because accepting the offer on CAPS confirms their response to the provisional admission. After acceptance, candidates should print their JAMB admission letter and follow ABSU’s instructions for subsequent clearance and registration. The university also operates an admission-status portal where applicants can check their application status using their JAMB or application number and the required PIN.
Candidates who have not yet received an admission offer should also make sure that their O’Level results have been properly uploaded to JAMB where applicable. JAMB states that candidates with awaiting O’Level results must upload those results before they can be considered for admission. If an institution has recommended a candidate but the admission has not yet appeared on CAPS, JAMB advises candidates to confirm that their results have been uploaded and that the institution has formally forwarded the admission recommendation.
Candidates seeking admission into ABSU for the 2026/2027 academic session should therefore check both their JAMB CAPS status and the university’s admission platform regularly. Those who receive an offer should accept it through the appropriate JAMB process and proceed with the next admission requirements communicated by the university. Applicants who are still awaiting a decision should continue checking for updates rather than relying on unofficial admission lists or messages. The official university and JAMB platforms remain the appropriate sources for confirming an admission offer.
