NABTEB Examination
The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has extended the registration deadline for the 2026 November/December certificate examinations to Tuesday, October 13, 2026. The latest extension gives candidates additional time to register for the examinations or complete outstanding parts of their registration before the revised deadline.
The extension covers candidates registering for the National Business Certificate (NBC), National Technical Certificate (NTC), Advanced National Business Certificate (ANBC) and Advanced National Technical Certificate (ANTC) examinations. Registration was initially scheduled to close on Thursday, October 8, 2026, but the deadline has now been moved to midnight on October 13.
According to the reported announcement, NABTEB Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, Dr Mohammed Aminu Mohammed, approved the extension in a memorandum dated October 8, 2026. The announcement was issued through the board’s Media and Protocol department. Candidates who have not completed registration are advised to use the additional time to submit their details and finalise the process.
NABTEB has clarified that candidates will not be charged an additional registration fee because of the extension. Applicants should therefore be cautious of anyone demanding extra payment specifically because the deadline has changed. Candidates should use authorised registration channels and follow the instructions provided by the examination board.
Candidates can register through the official NABTEB November/December registration portal. The process requires the registration voucher’s serial number and PIN, candidate information, examination centre details, trade selection and subject choices. Applicants should carefully review their information before submitting it. The official portal states that registration is not complete until candidates submit their details and print their examination photocards.
Candidates should not wait until the final hours to complete registration, as technical or payment-related problems could delay the process. The new deadline is October 13, 2026, at midnight, and candidates should complete all required steps before then. Applicants should also keep their registration details and printed photocard safe for future examination arrangements.
