UNIOSUN Merit Admission List 2026/2027: How to Check Admission Status

UNIOSUN

Osun State University (UNIOSUN) has released the approved admission cut-off marks for candidates seeking admission into its undergraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session. The university has published separate thresholds for different programmes, with the required scores varying according to the course and admission category. Candidates should therefore check the cut-off mark for their specific programme rather than relying on one general score.

The highest cut-off marks are recorded for some of UNIOSUN’s most competitive programmes. Nursing Science has a general merit cut-off mark of 77.4, while the catchment cut-off is 74.4. Law has a general merit cut-off of 77.1 and a catchment mark of 73. Radiography and Radiation Science requires 74.5 for general merit and 70.9 for catchment candidates, while Medical Laboratory Science has a general merit mark of 73.8 and a catchment mark of 70.

Other competitive programmes also have relatively high admission thresholds. Common and Islamic Law has a general merit cut-off mark of 71.3. Accounting has a cut-off mark of 69, while Mass Communication is 68.7 under the general merit category. These figures show that meeting the basic UTME screening requirement does not necessarily mean a candidate has met the admission benchmark for a particular course.

Some programmes have considerably lower approved thresholds. B.Sc. Education Mathematics has a general merit cut-off mark of 43 and a catchment mark of 40. Christian Religious Studies has a general merit mark of 47.1 and a catchment mark of 40, while Agricultural Science and Wildlife Management has a general merit threshold of 49.8 and a catchment mark of 40. The complete official cut-off document should be consulted for programmes not listed in this article.

It is important to distinguish between UNIOSUN’s general Post-UTME eligibility requirement and the programme-specific admission cut-off marks. For the 2026/2027 screening exercise, candidates with at least 160 UTME marks were eligible to apply for UNIOSUN Post-UTME, but candidates seeking Law, Nursing, Medicine or Islamic Law with scores below 200 were not considered for those programmes. The newly released programme cut-off marks provide the approved admission benchmarks for the 2026/2027 exercise.

UNIOSUN has also warned prospective students against individuals who claim they can secure admission, influence the admission process or provide preferential consideration. The university stated that admission is based on merit and subject to meeting the institution’s requirements and other conditions prescribed by the relevant regulatory authorities. Candidates should therefore use official UNIOSUN channels when checking admission information and should not make payments to individuals claiming to have access to admission slots.
